Working With
DV 25 or DV 50
The eStor can
support 180, 200, 250, 300, 350 and 400 MBps throughput!!!! This means it
can push and pull from multiple nodes at high rate of speed. The REAL node
transfer speed has many factors, like the CPU on your edit node, O/S, ram,
bus, NIC card and software. They all play a role in how fast you can hit
the powerful eStor.
If you are an editor and need to get 5 minutes of DV25 from the eStor
it will take you 20 seconds!!!!!! How about getting a 10 minute sequence
of DV50 video in 80 seconds !!!!!! 7.5x realtime! Bam!!!!!! Just like
that. And since the eStor is a shared device you and edit bay 2, edit bay
3, edit bay 4 and so on, can do the same!!!!! Easy as PIE.
