New at IBC 2017:
Quasar - Native QC on Cloud
Quasar is a native Cloud QC system that can be used as a service without the need to invest in the infrastructure. This is ideal for workflows that are already in Cloud where manual QC is extremely difficult. The following new capabilities will be showcased:
- Quasar is now available on Azure public Cloud as a SaaS service.
- Quasar now supports direct interaction with Oracle DIVA. Users can browse or post content jobs located in Oracle DIVA for QC.
- Advanced functionalities such as VM, Security group tagging are now available in Quasar Private Edition.
- Harding PSE is now available as an option on top of Quasar base plans.
Pulsar - File based Automated QC
Pulsar continues to be the favorite QC system when it comes to user experience. Even with all the added features, we continue to keep the tool easy to use so that users can take advantage of all the advanced capabilities in the system with ease. Some new capabilities on display will include:
- Introduction of new video quality checks such as Chroma Hits and Active Picture region verification.
- Ability to generate a customized Harding certificate in addition to the analysis report.
- Support for HEVC (H.265) video analysis in various container formats.
- Support for BT.2020 colour space.
- Integration of Photon IMF analyser developed by Netflix. This capability can be used by Netflix suppliers to ensure that their package is ready for delivery to Netflix.
