THE DOG DAYS OF SUMMER
The days get longer, the water gets warmer, the sun shines brighter...
and ieei.tv brings the hottest new technology!
Happy Summertime 2013! When choosing a title for this month's newsletter that would work with the photo of my dog California and I, the phrase "dog days of summer" came naturally. However, I had to stop and ask myself... "where did that phrase come from?" If you are curious like me, click here.
Things are really are hot at ieei.tv. We've been busy this summer helping folks solve problems, store and easily find valuable media assets along with the ability to transcode multiple file formats and archive to LTO6.
And in this newsletter we announce some new tools that help you better manage your Avid media and project files, called Project Parking. You can better control large amounts of raw media with Medway.

Off-Line Drive Management (ODM):
Intelligently managed off-line storage for customer drives. Customers can plug their own drives with media content into the Apace ODM platform for media cataloging and online access on demand. All media data is encoded and a proxy is kept online for access while the raw media may be off-line. ODM acts as an alternative to tape library and can manage Petabytes of disk based information for a very low cost.
